Salem, Massachusetts based Titan Advanced Energy Solutions is a pioneer in ultrasound-based battery management and diagnostic solutions for the growing Lithium-ion market -- a market projected to be $127 Billion by 2027. Join NSTC's Sustainability Forum to learn about the company, their culture, and the breakthrough battery technology that recently won the U.S. Department of Energy's Battery Recycling Prize. Co-Founder and CEO Shawn Murphy and other senior executives will be on hand to share more about the company and answer questions. This is a unique opportunity to tour Titan's office and battery and R&D Labs while also enjoying food, drink and time to network at Root Café, a "community kitchen" that uses culinary arts as a tool for teaching workforce readiness.

About Root Café:

Founded in 2017, Root is a 501(c)-3 non-profit social enterprise that uses the culinary arts as a tool for teaching workforce readiness and life skills to low-income youth in Essex County with barriers to employment. Root’s 14 week, 240-hour program of direct kitchen and classroom training helps young people transform their lives and futures through technical and experiential education in the culinary arts - leading to employment and financial self-sufficiency. Over the 14 weeks, youth participate in direct instruction and on-the-job training focused on 12 core culinary competencies, such as knife cuts, recipe management, basic sauces, leveners, kitchen safety, equipment knowledge, and more.
