About the Womens Initiative
The mission of the NSTC Womens Initiative is to facilitate connections among industry sectors for the purpose of promoting and supporting women in technology in the North Shore region of Massachusetts.
Women continue to be underrepresented in the science and technology fields at all levels. This under-representation is especially acute at the managerial, executive, board, entrepreneurial, and tenure levels. Further, it is well documented that the United States lag behind other countries in the number of students, both male and female, entering the science, technology, engineering, and math fields.
NSTC Womens Initiative seeks to “join the conversation” by facilitating connections among like-minded organizations to foster relationships, education, mentorships, access, and eventually the full inclusion of women in technology fields at all levels.
